Controller

National Breaker Services, LLC (Middlebury, CT) is an electrical power industry manufacturer of Medium Voltage Switchgear and a leader in breaker life extension. We design and build electrical equipment for utilities companies throughout the USA.

Our Citadel product line is growing such that NBS requires an experienced Controller

for our multiple entity environment to assist the companies CFO.

We are seeking a talented, eager to learn, organized, individual who understands the need for deadlines while maintaining their part in a very precise, detail-oriented finance department.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and update accounting records and files

· Review financial statements for accuracy

· Balance sheet and various bank and loan accounts reconciliations

· Assist in invoicing procedures and review PO entries

· Aid in examining tax policies and handle tax payments and returns

· Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)

· Payroll reconciliations and learn to provide occasional backup for payroll clerk.

· Conduct month-end, quarterly and year-end closures

· Assist in preparing documents for audits

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

· At least 5 years’ experience in similar role

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quick Books

· Ability to read and analyze financial reports

· Attention to details, confidentiality and integrity

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills

· Knowledge of ADP software preferred (or willing to learn)
