Maintains the HRIS databases by entering and verifying new and existing employee job and benefit related information. Assists with various components of Health & Welfare administration, Retirement administration and general employment policy inquiries. Responsible for addressing a wide range of customer questions in a timely and complete manner. Maintains effective customer service skills in order to conform to service standards and measured goals.

- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows products, specifically Excel and Word.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work well across teams. Communicates effectively with peers and management staff, vendors and employees.
- Requires strong organizational and time management skills.
- Multi-state knowledge of laws, regulatory requirements and compliance rules.
- Knowledge of Company policies/procedures and benefit packages or ability to learn.
- 20% Review/complete new hire, termination and employee change events in Workday. Complete necessary steps outside the HRIS system as needed to ensure timeliness of processing including system access requests, exit paperwork, surveys and orientation scheduling.
- 20% Assists with benefits and retirement plans administration including enrollment, claims processing, billing reconciliation, wire transfers, COBRA administration, coordination with vendors, benefits communications, terminations, maintenance of benefit plans, 401(k) payouts, 401(k) loan processing, pension distributions and maintenance of retirement plans.
- 20% Provides assistance for employee benefits, compensation and employment policy and procedure inquiries by phone or email to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution. Escalates inquiries by phone or email to HR Shared Services Manager or business partners to ensure prompt resolution.
- 10% Payroll Batch processing and Review; biweekly timecard review/support.
- 10% Participates and coordinates special annual assignments as necessary to include but not limited to: Student Program, Health Fair, Audits, and regulatory reporting.
- 10% Prepares and distributes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for HR, third party vendors and leadership.
- 5% Other duties as assigned.
