NC Health Partners Is offering a Sign On Bonus for Therapist that can start within the next 2 weeks!
NC Health Partners is looking to hire a Master’s level MST Community Interventionist. The most ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of previous MST experience. The MST Community Interventionist will be responsible for providing intensive clinical treatment to a caseload of 5-6 clients.
Key Responsibilities:
You will empower families to address problematic behaviors and support youth ages 12-17 in making life-transforming changes. Progress is achieved through intensive interventions, including improving family dynamics, addressing challenges with peers and school, and strengthening social support networks. Additionally, you will receive ongoing team support, training, and supervision in the MST model while working holistically with families, youth, their communities, and other key stakeholders to implement MST effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide intensive clinical treatment to families using the MST treatment model and principles 2-3 times per week. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
- Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment.
- Through face-to-face group supervision, you will engage in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family’s ecological context.
- Work comfortably with a diverse community of clients.
- Complete all clinical documentation within expected timeframe.
- Documentation is grand part of the role as a MSTInterventionist. If you are someone who thrives with strictly enforced deadlines, and possess strong written skills you will likely succeed as a MST Interventionist!
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in clinical or counseling related subject area (new grads are encouraged to apply)
- Bilingual preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to travel to client’s homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.
- Must live within a 30 – 45-minute travel time from the designated service area.
