What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales position at NC Hunt Inc?
Provide sales quotes and place orders for customer phone calls and walk-in.
Work closely with outside sales representatives assisting in customer quotes and orders.
Solicit new or complimentary sales for customers during phone calls and store visits.
Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues.
Restock the store and perform cycle counts as required.
Help out in the warehouse as necessary.
Maintain store and clean as required.
Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Enthusiastically and professionally greet retail customers.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Qualify all customers before preparing or initializing a quote.
Gather information regarding jobsite location, timeframe of project, payment method, material specifics.
Qualify the need for additional materials.
Acquire plans, material lists, or other information to assist in getting a material take-off.
Provide quotes in a timely manner.
Schedule meeting with contractors/clients to assist in product selection.
Sell turn-over commodity inventory.
Actively monitor open orders, particularly millwork and special orders.
Coordinate with shipper regarding deliver schedule.
Set aside time each day to follow up on old business.
Comply with all policies and procedures as identified in the N. C. Hunt Lumber Employee Handbook.
Completed paperwork timely, ensure material cost matches confirmation and purchase order.
