SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) Exceptions Specialist is responsible for the investigation and resolution of discrepancies (damages, shortages, overages, etc.) for all prescription product received inbound.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete exception handling for incoming receiving including data discrepancies, damaged products, overages and shortages, and product identifier issues
- Maintains GLN (Global Location Number) and GTIN (Global Tracking Identification Number) master data for DSCSA compliance
- Physical maintenance and oversight of quarantined product and disposition per SOPs
- Complete new vendor onboarding process
SPECIFIC WORK TASK:
- Scanning of 2D barcodes
- Collect and sort packing slips from Receiving
- Scans packing list into electronic storage solution
- Identify non-compliant manufacturers’ packing slips
- Verify product received against packing list
- Enter lot # and serial level data into ERP system for tracking
- Research customer return lot and serial # failures
- Determines whether to receive problem shipments or ship back to vendor
- Track shipments as needed for process resolution
- Communicate with internal departments and vendors as needed to resolve discrepancies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 2 years of logistics or warehousing experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong data entry and organization skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to take initiative
- Analytical skills to investigate data and process issues
- People skills to coordinate across functional areas for data/process issue resolution
- Sense of urgency; ability to provide timely response and follow-up to inquiries
- Ability to follow SOPs and update as needed
- Strong computer skills to facilitate data inquiry and analysis
- Ability to learn and navigate ASW
- Ability to operate office equipment necessary to perform job duties (fax, copier, scanner, etc.)
- Ability to work well both independently and as a team member
ADA MEASURES:
- Standing 10% of time, walking 40% of time, sitting 40% of time
- Lifting/carrying < 20 lbs.
- Reaching into files, for books on shelves, across desk for papers
- Handling paperwork, computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, fax
