The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) is a national medical specialty organization with over 6,400 members. Located in Schaumburg, IL, ASDS supports its dermatologist members through educational opportunities, networking forums, mentoring programs, public relations and branding initiatives, leadership activities and advocacy efforts (through ASDSA).

What We Need :
This position will support the marketing and communications efforts by executing a variety of marketing campaigns aimed at growing membership, increasing member engagement and promoting the Society’s programs and events. Seeking a detail-orientated individual with strong writing, marketing and organizational skills; a self-starter who can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment; and a team player who can work across functional teams to achieve goals. This is a hybrid position requiring in-person office days and offering remote days per week.
What You’ll Do :
- Assist in developing, executing and measuring marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, print, and digital) to support membership growth, program engagement, event promotion and advocacy efforts.
- Support the creation, editing, and implementation of engaging content for e-newsletters, website pages, social media, podcasts, advertisements, and all promotional materials, ensuring consistency with the Society’s brand and messaging.
- Update and maintain the Society’s website, ensuring it is current and relevant to both prospective and current members, as well as the public.
- Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, reporting key performance metrics (e.g., email open rates, web traffic) to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the monthly submission of print and digital advertisements to the publisher of the Society’s peer-reviewed medical journal.
- Oversee the department’s general email inbox, monitoring and responding to inquiries, and redirecting requests to the appropriate staff for resolution.
- Assist with social media efforts, including posting, monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to approved organizational and department budget.
- Participates in overall department planning and operational support to ensure we are obtaining both the department’s and organization’s goals and objectives.
What You Have :
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Management or a related field.
Two to three years of experience in marketing, preferably within a membership association.
