What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenence Assistant position at NCC Solutions, Inc?
Description
This person performs maintenance on properties owned by the organization.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment and systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
Support the maintenance team with additional tasks as needed.
Performs needed repairs on properties including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, dry wall, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
Assist with snow removal of sidewalks and walking areas.
Inspects assigned buildings on a regular basis, documents status of equipment and systems, checks for needed repairs, performs necessary preventative maintenance, and reports deficiencies needing further attention.
Participate in Licensure/Medicaid inspections relating to facility issues.
Checks safety systems and devices for operational effectiveness.
Represents the interests of NCC in an appropriate and professional manner.
Evaluates the performance of contractors who perform work on NCC properties Completes required paperwork and report to CEO
Identifies required maintenance to prevent unanticipated breakdowns or conditions that create an unsafe environment.
Takes all necessary steps to correct identified deficiencies.
Immediately notifies CEO of any safety hazards Maintains an inventory of supplies.
Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner Maintains all equipment owned by Northeast Care Center Performs monthly vehicle inspections.
All other duties as assigned.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS
May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
May work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Receives direct and specific supervision from the Executive Director.
Requirements
Valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under NCC standards Ability to work congenially with others, courteous approach. Alertness in recognizing problems needing attention.
A neat and professional appearance.

Willingness to learn.
Must have experience in estimating and contracting for services.
Knowledge of basic code requirements for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems installation and repair.
Must be able to use independent judgment.
Must have the ability to work with persons with intellectual disabilities.
Ability to cooperate and communicate with co-workers, individuals and the general public.
Must have the ability to diagnose and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must be able to work independently.
