NC Salary Grade NC07 $35,984-$62,971
This position is located in the Roadside Environmental Unit and will be an assistant to a higher level Engineer Technician responsible for the legislatively mandated drinking water testing at all facilities with water supplied by well. Will serve as the Assistant Wastewater System Operator for the I-40 Rest Area and Welcome Centers. Position will assist with the completion of all duties associated with inspection and monitoring of Division 14 Roadside Environmental Storm-water Pollution Prevention Program. This position will be responsible for inspection of all Division 14 rest areas to ensure janitorial services and ground maintenance are meeting NCDOT standards.

Employee must be able to work in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions and must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary to fulfill position needs. Safety toe shoes required. Must be able to obtain certification in C-Well; Grade 1 & Grade 2 Biological Water Pollution Control System Operator.
