Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve facility maintenance challenges in state-owned buildings.
- Oversee and direct the work of other skilled workers in various trades.
- Plan projects, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of all assignments.
- Respond to building emergencies, which may require after-hours availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Adapt to varying weather conditions and perform duties in multiple locations as directed.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in at least two trades, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, and materials.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions effectively.
- Proven capability to manage and direct the activities of other skilled workers.
- Demonstrated skills in project planning and task delegation.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or construction roles, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
