What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mid-Level Landscape Designer position at NCE | Engineering & Environmental Services?
NCE is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary practice that combines the expertise of Landscape Architects, Engineers, and Environmental Scientists to create innovative and environmentally responsible design solutions. We are eagerly looking for a mid-level landscape designer to enhance our landscape studio. We work on a diverse range of projects in the public realm, including Trails, Parks, Streetscapes, Green Infrastructure, Civic Centers, Higher Education, Healthcare, and Institutional Facilities, collaborating with over 200 public agencies across the western United States.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to :
- Lead projects with project management responsibilities, including monthly budgeting, scheduling, client interaction, and subconsultant management.
- Engage in the ideation process, conduct design research, and guide junior designers in creating conceptual plans and visualizations.
- Collaborate with a talented team of civil engineers, architects, planners, and environmental scientists.
- Mentor and support entry-level landscape designers.
- Assist or lead the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Contribute to the preparation of RFQs and RFPs, including developing scopes of work and fee estimates.
- Visit construction sites to collect information and assist project team members during the construction phase.
