What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Worker position at NCHC?
The Opportunity:
The primary purpose of the Logistics Worker is to transport people to and from crucial services such as medical and nutritional trips in a safe and customer service-orientated manner. Logistics workers are also cross trained to perform courier duties such as delivery of meds to our other facility.
The pay range for this role is $17.00 - $18.50 based on experience. The hours of this role are 10:00am – 6:30pm.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist clients in and out of vehicles and properly secure them for transport
- Maintain a safe, secure and health work environment by regularly cleaning vehicle and safety checking equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of paratransit vehicles, passenger vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge of wheelchair lift equipment
- Knowledge of safe driving practices
- Work with management on safety initiatives
- Complete daily paperwork to ensure that clients are accurately billed
- 2-way radio usage
- Troubleshoot non-compliant clients and assist in implementing corrective actions
- Conduct daily safety inspections vehicles
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years in the transportation industry.
- Valid licensure to drive passenger and paratransit buses.
- Preferred mechanical knowledge of paratransit and passenger vehicles.
- Preferred mechanical knowledge of wheelchair life equipment.
- Person-centered service in all interactions.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices.
