The Opportunity:
The Manager of Patient Access will oversee all aspects of patient access services, including enrollment, registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, prior authorization, and customer service. This position is responsible for leading a team, ensuring efficient operations, developing, implementing and maintaining revenue generating strategies to ensure processes are in place for accurate and timely billing information, enhancing patient experience, and promoting high-quality service delivery.
This is a full-time, on-site position. The pay range for this role is $81,000 - $90,000, based on experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and manage a team of patient access coordinators, specialists, schedulers, and other staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address any staffing issues.
- Hire, train, and onboard new team members.
- Ensure efficient operation of patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling processes.
- Oversee accurate data entry and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
- Address any bottlenecks in patient access processes and implement improvements.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues effectively and professionally.
- Collaborate with clinical, billing, and insurance departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Work with leadership to develop strategies for improving patient flow and access to care as well as continuously review and improve the patient access processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and patient experience.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and healthcare standards.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and registration information.
- Track and report on patient access performance metrics such as wait times, registration accuracy, and patient satisfaction.
- Analyze trends and make recommendations for operational improvements.
- Maintains regular on-site attendance.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in patient access or healthcare operations
- Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient knowledge of computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook Email, etc. and the ability to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and nurses.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally as well as exceptional phone etiquette
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information and ensure confidentiality
- Preferred Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Patient Access Manager (CPAM) certification
What You’ll Get:
