The Opportunity:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing quality initiatives at North Central Health Care, with a specific focus on the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Behavioral Health programs, ranging from an outpatient clinic to inpatient hospitals. This role will lead efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promote data-driven decision-making, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in patient and resident care. The Quality Manager will work in tandem with leadership, program teams, and staff to implement quality improvement initiatives and support accreditation and compliance efforts.

This is a full-time, in person position. The pay range for this role is $82,160 - $89,440, based on experience.

What You’ll Do:

Quality Improvement & Oversight

  • Lead and manage quality initiatives for Behavioral Health and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) services.
  • Oversee the implementation of evidence-based quality improvement strategies to enhance patient safety, care outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Support and facilitate the work of the Quality Committees for Behavioral Health and SNF, ensuring the identification, review, and prioritization of key quality initiatives.
  • Partner with department leaders to track and analyze quality performance indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices related to quality improvement.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Collaborate with the Compliance and Quality team to identify and prioritize risks, mitigate potential compliance issues, and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Support data collection, reporting, and auditing to assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives and compliance programs.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to proactively address areas of concern and improve organizational accountability.
  • Lead survey readiness activities and coordinate submission of quality data during site visits.

Collaboration & Training

  • Work with the Learning and Development team to provide training on quality initiatives, policies, and best practices.
  • Educate staff and leadership on quality standards, performance improvement methodologies, and compliance-related issues.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to develop a culture of continuous quality improvement and regulatory readiness.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain quality dashboards and reports to communicate key performance metrics and improvement efforts to leadership.
  • Ensure timely reporting of quality measures to regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis, best practices and organizational capacity.

 

What You Bring:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health, human services, or a related field.

 

Minimum Work Experience:    

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality improvement, nursing, compliance, human services, public health, or healthcare administration.
  • Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, state regulations, and other accreditation standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, Education, Licenses, Certifications and Requirements:

  • Expertise in quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data reporting tools, and electronic health record (EHR) systems

What You’ll Get:

  • This is a full-time, in person position. The pay range for this role is $82,160 - $89,440, based on experience.

  • As an employee of NCHC, you could be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!
