Mountain Lakes Human Service Zone - Child Welfare Case Manager - Rolla
Mountain Lakes Human Service Zone Child Welfare/Family Services Department is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager (36-40-5951) to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families in our community. Child Welfare Case Managers are specific for children 0-18 years and can also case manage youth 18-21 years.
Mountain Lakes Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services and Ramsey County to deliver state-driven child welfare safety and program protocols and provides an excellent benefit package. Mountain Lakes Humans Service Zone is offering a sign on bonus up to $10,000 to the successful applicant.
Child Welfare Case Manager duties include:
- Assess and provide case management services for children residing in the home
- Develop treatment plans, goals, and safety plans for caretakers and children
- Reduce identified risks of child abuse and neglect
- Provide information and referral services for children and families
- Conduct case planning meetings
- Write affidavits and testify at court proceedings
To succeed in this position, you should have a passion for serving others and a desire to make a positive impact. You should be highly organized, able to manage you time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations. You will need to have a strong understanding of program policies and laws. You will also need to be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technology programs and have attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, and criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:
Family Service Specialist III (SC7005):
- Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager.
- A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.
Family Services Specialist II (SC7004):
- One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager.
- A master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirement.
Family Services Specialist I (SC7004):
- No work experience required.
Frequent Travel throughout Mountain Lakes Human Service Zone is required.
