Compensation : $72,400 - $102,700 – VCP 10%
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At ND Paper, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
- Develop, implement and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance systems to minimize equipment downtime in all areas of the mill.
- Audit and inspect precision installation processes throughout the mill.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) process throughout the mill.
- Lead reliability data analysis on where the most hours and costs occur
- Process, vessel, and tank specialist
- Develop and modify Preventative Maintenance Plans in SAP mill wide.
- Provide support and backup to the Mechanical Reliability Engineer during absences with :
o Mill condition monitoring program; vibration, IR, ultrasonic, etc.
o Mill lubrication program implementing best practices.
o Work with lubrication suppliers to improve overall equipment reliability and uptime through optimized product selection and application.
Work within the downtime planning process of each area of the mill and build specific mechanical and electrical reliability plans for each scheduled down.Be the mechanical main point of contact for hazard insurance carrier including audits and follow-ups.Coordinate inspections and maintain documentation for regulated objects within the mill (power boilers, unfired pressure vessels, safety valves and backflow preventers).Evaluate new technology which applies to operating unit reliability.Provide technical expertise for equipment maintenance, maintenance standards, and operating procedures for mill equipment, proactively identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate equipment reliability issues and support hydraulics and lubrication.Apply the concepts of precision maintenance to ensure the equipment is designed, repaired, balanced, and aligned to strictly enforce standards before being placed in service.Re-engineer / redesign unreliable or failure prone equipment to meet expected operating performance.Support the on-site contract HVAC Service Technician and manage all the mill cooling and heating systems to ensure they are reliable and do not cause personnel safety issues or mill equipment downtime.Work on weekend and holiday rotation for on-call maintenance responsibilities.Required Experience
Minimum of three years of experience in reliability engineering in a manufacturing setting.Demonstrated proficiency in reliability systems, condition monitoring, lubrication tracking systems, etc.Industrial experience preferredBS in engineering preferred OR any other equivalent experiencePreferred Experience
