Shift Manager, Paper Production – Rumford, ME
Compensation : $106,144.00-$132,680.00, VCP 13%
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At ND Paper, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Paper Production on shift; he / she will carry out responsibilities to ensure maximum production while meeting all quality requirements in the most efficient, economical, and safest manner.
Job Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
- Monitor crew safety performance and communicate safety issues / concerns to area leadership
- Maintain housekeeping standards and report unresolved housekeeping issues to appropriate area leadership
- Monitor quality off production lines and make timely decisions to address / resolve quality issues timely (via alarming, pages, summary data, ect.)
- Communicate with quality and operations to clarify quality issues
- Identify trends in off quality to minimize impact
- Monitor roll / reel conditions by line
- Remove barriers and drive performance during off hours
- Coordinate unscheduled L&D events and off hour maintenance prioritization
- Monitor and maintain speed and efficiency of equipment
- Monitor daily production statistics
- Ensure shift production issues are elevated to area leadership in a timely manner
