What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator position at ND Rip?
Main responsibilities
Driving and Transportation :
Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and inventory, to and from job sites and any N-Drip facility
Adhere to all DOT regulations, including maintaining accurate driver logs and pre / post-trip inspections.
Loading and unloading freight onsite at any N-Drip facility.
Heavy Equipment Operation :
Maintenance and Mechanics.
Conduct regular inspections and perform basic maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including checking fluids, filters, and tires.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team or external vendors.
Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and in compliance with safety standards.
Safety and Compliance :
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with company and industry safety standards.
Report safety incidents, hazards, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Collaboration and Communication :
Work closely with the operations team to meet project timelines and objectives.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.
Act as an Installation technician while performing non-transport duties such as but not limited to any installation activities, operating any equipment during installation, and assisting with other non-transporting duties.
Logistical assistance in warehouses as needed.
Skills and qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Clean Driving Record.
Proven experience operating heavy equipment, with certifications preferred but not mandatory.
Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations, both for vehicle operation and equipment use.
Ability to drive for long periods of time.
Previous experience in agricultural work (preferred).

Additional notes :
This role is a full-time position.
Driving time- up to 80%.
