TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 11-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the North Dakota State College of Science plays an important role in recruiting student-athletes, scheduling non-conference games, conducting pre-season workouts, and preparing for practices. The Athletic Director may assign additional duties, such as: hiring officials, preparing budgets, preparing travel (buses and hotels), and administering youth camps. The selected individual will also manage off-season activities including athletic and non-athletic events, and must be available to work many weekends and holidays.

SALARY: Starting at $50,000, commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Health, Physical Education, or a related field
- Head Coaching Experience at the collegiate level
- 3 years experience coaching at the collegiate level
- A commitment to upholding and building the Wildcat culture in athletics
- A commitment to building strong teams, both internally and externally
- Strong ability to recruit, both local and regional athletes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficient working knowledge of computer software programs and other relevant technology
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Collegiate recruiting experience
- Knowledge and understanding of NJCAA rules and regulations
- Fundraising experience
- Marketing experience
