Job Overview
The primary purpose of this position is management and supervision of our Practicum Students/Interns and Social Skills Instructor(s) at a local charter school that our practice has a contract with this particular school. The supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations, ongoing training of the practicum students/interns and social skills instructor(s), evaluation of the program, establishment of short-range and long-range goals for the program, ensuring that federal, state and local policies and procedures are performed and meetings with school personnel and administration.
Example of Duties:
Supervise staff, interns, and contractors at site
Conduct assessments as needed
Do Treatment Plans as needed
Work with complex and involved family dynamics, acute to severe medical and/or emotional disorders and mental illnesses that the client may possess
Handle emergencies and crises as they arise
Meet with school personnel and administration
Meet with parents as needed
Conduct life skill and social skill classes or psychoeducation groups in the absence of staff, interns, and contractors at site
Make sure assessments and treatment plans are updated
Make sure goals are assessments are measurable
Make sure measuring tools are updated
Review Social Skills Instructor(s) lesson plans
Be able to assist consumers, parents, staff, interns, staff, and school personnel with community resources.
Have a small caseload to provide case management and psychoeducation
Administer Psychological Test (will be trained by practice to become a Psychometrist and supervised by a psychologist)
Other Duties as Assigned
Education and Experience:
Must have a master's degree in Social Work
Must have two years' experience in Social Work
Must have one year experience in Mental Health/Behavorial Health
