About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to join our team in Sacramento County. This role involves financial analysis, reconciliation, journal entries, and report preparation to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Tax, and Reconciliation.
• Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
• Review internal reports for accuracy, adjust coding, and finalize reports for distribution.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of county-wide financial reports, including quarterly interest allocations and the annual comprehensive financial report.
• Support audit functions and contribute to process improvements.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access.
• Experience with journal entries, financial reconciliations, and audit procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting functions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial reports and written procedures.
