Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, plans, and schematics based on project specifications and design concepts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive design documentation.
- Create and modify drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
- Review and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain and update drawing files and ensure proper version control.
- Communicate effectively with the construction team to clarify design intent and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
- Provide support to other departments, including project management and estimating, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Construction Drafter, Architectural Drafter, or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or other relevant CAD software).
- Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to review and identify discrepancies in design documents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or other advanced design tools.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and visualization software.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building standards.
