The Facilities Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager and Facilities Director for all facilities related responsibilities and duties.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and manage preventive maintenance programs and warranty management.
- Ensures building and park operations comply with all State and County Health laws and regulations.
- Oversees contractors involved in construction projects and delivery of services.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with overseeing all building systems' functions including mechanical, electrical, fire / life safety, plumbing, and waste management.
- Ensure all areas are always clean and orderly through regular inspections of resort and buildings, public areas including all hallways, guest areas, offices and all non-food and beverage back of house areas.
- Work closely with Facilities Manager on R&M supply and repair costs for potential saving opportunities.
- Regularly interact with and monitor various contractors, including fire sprinkler, alarm, HVAC, electrical, refuse / waste management, pest control, landscaping, security, and others as required.
- Assist with personnel scheduling.
- Arrange maintenance schedules and manage R&M projects.
- Assist with training new employees and creating training aids such as videos.
- Organize maintenance personnel and contractors to complete building repairs and renovations.
- Assist with the arrangement of office furniture and workstations.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Assist Facilities Manager with monthly Safety Meetings.
- Assist F&B and Banquets with event operations planning and staffing coordination.
- Assist with department vendor files, coding, and approval of invoices.
- Oversee the coordination of building repairs and construction projects, facilitating access for contractors, as necessary.
- Responsible for facilities emergency procedures, best-practices, safety, and security procedure training.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with recruiting, hiring, motivating, disciplinary and discharge actions.
- Work with Facilities Manager on all contractual functions of the resort, including landscaping, grounds maintenance, elevator, etc.
- Assist with performing a Quality Control program to ensure consistency of superior maintenance and housekeeping service standards are in place and meeting or exceeding the expectations of resort guests.
- Involved in key development initiatives relating to MEP, low voltage, maintenance, and housekeeping functions of all buildings under NDM hospitality management.
