We are looking for a F&B Assistant Manager to join our team!
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager manages the day to day operation of the Food & Beverage sections and informs the Food & Beverage Manager, of any major decision taken which did not require his/her action and any other relevant information. Manages all food & beverage cost of goods and inventory discrepancies. Manages all food & beverage direct labor to ensure budgetary goals are met. Assists in managing all food & beverage quality and ensures food & beverage cost goals are met through the proper storage, handling, preparation, and production of products. He or she assists in ordering and receiving order of all types. Assists director in setting Food & Beverage goals and developing strategies, procedures, and policies.
Facilities
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager ensures that all company and local sanitation standards are met in the storage, production and service of all beverages and food product used in the resort. He or she ensures cleanliness and sanitation standards are met through the effective use of up to date running sidework, sidework charts, & maintenance issues. Comply with all health and safety regulations. Manages and access all food & beverage POS and software. Manages all food & beverage operating expense like, paper/plastics, cleaning supplies, and smallwares.
Coaching
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager manages and oversees all food & beverage training. Actively works with Leads and Certified Trainers to ensure all new hire training is being done correctly and effectively. Manages the service in the front of house through the servers and bartenders with our guests. Ensures service standards are being held at high standards. Conducts teaching sessions in front of house, teaches new initiatives. Ensures pre-meals are done with both the FOH and HOH on a shift basis.
Administration
Ensures to complete any documents related to NDM Hospitality disciplinary actions. Ensures all invoices and processing for accounting is completed in a timely fashion. Completes at the end of every month the counting and entering of all Food & Beverage inventories. Attends all meeting as required by the Director of Food & Beverage or VP of Operations.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience managing a team of food & beverage employees through motivation, coaching and development.
- Proven experience supervising food & beverage service departments of 20 employees.
- Knowledge and ability to control factors affecting budget.
- Proven excellence in customer service and experience to interact effectively with guests, all levels of management, associates, both inside and outside the organization.
- Self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- The ability to anticipate guest needs, multitask and direct quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong passion for Teaching & Learning.
- Proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications.
- Capable of using independent judgement/solid decision-making skill and ability.
Required Experience:
- 4 years related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and formal training:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field
