The Restaurant Catering Sales Manager is responsible for finalizing group catering business to meet / exceed sales goals. As a Catering Sales Manager , you will solicit, negotiate, and book new / repeat business via outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc. Requirements of the position include a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the catering , food & beverage , and hospitality professions; knowledge of NDM Hospitality products and services; effective communication skills; and the ability to negotiate, influence, and sell.
Qualifications and Standards
- College Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years' experience in an event capacity .
- Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.
- Detail-minded and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary.
- Strong business planning, account planning, and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
- Computer proficiency in Excel , Word , and PowerPoint .
