Our team members help create the culinary experience by setting up events, preparing food, and serving food for NDSU students, faculty, staff and guests. In addition, this position will assure food safety protocols are met in the food production and service areas, as well as maintaining equipment used at workstations. In this position, you are guaranteed 40 hours per week with 10 paid holidays, plus paid vacation and sick time. Description & Details:
- Performs all necessary Catering and Event duties to provide excellent service to customers
- Execute all necessary tasks to assure a high degree of cleanliness, quality, and sanitation in catering, event, and food service areas
- Maintains all equipment used at workstations in an acceptable and sanitary condition
- Assist with inventory, and provide leadership for the recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of student staff
- Enforce departmental and University policies and procedures
Work Schedule: Mid-day 8 hour shifts between 10:00am and 7:30pm | Hours will vary based on events, peak times, and academic breaks | Weekend rotation
Advertised Salary:$22.00 /hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food service operation/catering
- Minimum 1-year supervisor experience in a food service operation/catering
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive a truck with a lift
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- College or university food service experience preferred
- Food Safety Certification preferred
