Job Description:
- To administer and control manufacturing processes related to the production of automotive acoustic products, ensuring they meet the company's quality, quantity, and long-term objectives.
- To develop methods and processes at the most cost-effective level while maintaining the required standards.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment, tooling, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement facility layouts, plant development, and organization of traffic flow to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Create and optimize cell layouts for work areas and part/process flow to minimize waste and maximize output.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop and procure new equipment and technologies.
- Manage programs and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze problems and implement solutions using the 5S Kaizen approach.
- Lead continuous improvement events and encourage a culture of innovation.
- Review and optimize manufacturing processes against industry standards.
- Create and maintain process documentation and procedures to support business goals.
Prerequisites for the Job:
- A degree in electronics and mechanics or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with robot languages like Fanuc and ABB.
- Experience with programming languages and interfaces such as Automation Direct.
- Secondary equipment design skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance and plant environment.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Identify and recommend improvements to worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate production processes and evaluate potential changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1-2 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies.
