Quality Engineer - Windsor Connecticut

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring product reliability, compliance with quality standards, and continuous improvement of processes. The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to implement quality control measures, resolve nonconformities, and drive process improvements.



The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead quality initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.





Key Responsibilities:



Quality Assurance & Control



Develop, implement, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.



Conduct inspections, audits, and process reviews to verify product reliability and adherence to quality specifications.



Establish testing plans, methods, and equipment to assess product quality and performance.



Ensure that process control documentation aligns with quality requirements, objectives, and contractual obligations.



Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions



Investigate nonconformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.



Develop and implement proactive quality initiatives to enhance product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.



Lead escape management procedures and coordinate with internal teams to resolve quality issues.



Collaboration & Continuous Improvement



Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to improve processes and resolve quality-related challenges.



Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure quality expectations are met and maintained.



Support the deployment and management of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and other quality assurance methodologies.



Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.



Compliance & Documentation



Ensure all projects and quality documentation comply with internal and external requirements.



Develop and maintain detailed records related to quality control processes, audits, and corrective actions.



Support Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) activities and product engineering changes to resolve quality concerns.




Required Qualifications:



Associate degree in an engineering discipline (Bachelor’s degree preferred).



Minimum of 5 years of relevant quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.



Experience with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.



Strong understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and quality assurance best practices.



Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.



Strong program and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.



Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.



Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.



Preferred Qualifications:



Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes.



Prior experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or supplier quality management.



Customer interfacing experience with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.



Previous experience working in operations or manufacturing environments.
