Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work in diverse environments, including commercial driving and horizontal drilling operations.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and water trucks on construction sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to build and maintain infrastructure projects.
- Safely transport equipment to and from job sites as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
- Perform horizontal drilling operations as needed, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to best practices in equipment operation.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site operations with a focus on excavator and backhoe operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
- Experience operating Yanmar, Vermeer, or John Deere equipment is preferred.
- Previous experience in utility work is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
