Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong mechanical knowledge to efficiently perform drilling tasks. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating a horizontal directional drilling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate drilling rigs and associated equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drilling operations.
- Utilize equipment such as mini excavators, vactrons, and water trucks.
- Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with horizontal directional drills. (Vermeer preferably)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with water truck operations is a plus.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
