Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images are produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning and technique to obtain high-quality images.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and anatomy to assist in the diagnosis process.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss imaging results and provide necessary follow-up care.
- Maintain equipment functionality by conducting routine checks and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience as an X-ray Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology, physiology, and anatomy is essential.
- Familiarity with operating X-ray machines and other imaging equipment is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are necessary.
