Salary: Depends on Experience – Based on State Certificated Salary Scale

Qualifications:
- Valid degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements for appropriate grade level
- Have or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in appropriate endorsement area.
- Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Demonstrate effective instruction; facilitates engaged learning; and, can acquire and record quality evidence of learning through multiple types of assessments.
- Demonstrate organizational skills and computer skills necessary for supporting instruction.
- Ability to take and follow directions. Must understand and maintain confidentiality.
- Creative and caring with commitment to education for all students. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Implement Common Core Standards and prepare students for state testing.
- Demonstrate constructive and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and work effectively with students, parents and cohorts

- Meet and instruct assigned classes at the location and the time designated.
- Plan a program of study that, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for individual interest and learning styles of students.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicating these objectives to students.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required.
- Maintain good order and discipline in the classroom at all times.
- Attend staff meetings, department meetings and serve on building committees as required.
- Work to establish open lines of communication with administration, teachers, parents, and students.
- Maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and demonstrate promptness in work arrival and in accomplishing all tasks.
- Perform other necessary and reasonable duties as assigned.
