- The Plumbing Manager directs daily operations by scheduling, directing, and providing technical support for plumbers
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains plumbers and apprentice plumbers
- Reviews plumbers' work to ensure quality meets established standards
- Responsible for performance appraisals and improvement goals
- Maintains regular training programs and communicates with dispatch and vendors
- Develops and monitors budgets, goals, and objectives
- Ensures compliance with company policies and oversees service vehicles
- Generates sales leads, promotes maintenance/service agreements, and estimates contract projects
- Manages installation, start-up, and commissioning projects
- Works with other departmental managers to meet company and departmental goals
- Other tasks as required to maintain efficient department operations
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Five years Plumbing Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some post-high school education from college, trade school, or military
- In-depth knowledge of Plumbing trades
- Ability to read, interpret, and utilize blueprints, manuals, schematics, and control circuits related to Plumbing systems
- Technical aptitude with local codes and ability to use resources at hand to find solutions
- Excellent leadership skills to enhance team productivity
- Strong communication and conflict management skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with good computer skills
- Master Plumber or Journeyman License (with ability to be license holder if needed)
- Possess a strong personal desire for improvement and motivate technicians
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and background
- Ability to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends, and holidays as required
