What is a Garden Center Merchandiser?
A Garden Center Merchandiser, or GCM for Neal Mast Greenhouses is a part of a national Merchandising program. They act as field merchandisers that work alongside retail management and associates to improve performance in their garden centers. Our focus is on product care and presentation to provide customers with a high value product and an appealing shopping environment working side by side with Walmart as third party vendors. We work rain or shine, both indoors and out to build and maintain attractive, eye-catching displays that drive sales and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities:
-Unload, unpack, and display live goods at retail locations
-Assist retail management in training associates in proper plant care
-Train and assist in product placement and presentation
-Provide a line of communication between suppliers and retailer
Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
-Must be able to spend a majority of working hours on your feet
-Must be able to lift/move/carry pots and trays of flowers and hanging baskets weighing up to 30lbs
-Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs (with assistance on heavier racks)
-Neat in appearance
-Strong communications skills
-Access to the internet via smartphone, computer, or tablet
-Experience in retail or customer service preferred
-Willingness to work outdoor in all kinds of weather
-Must be able to work weekends and some Holidays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
