What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Center Merchandiser position at Neal Mast & Son Greenhouses?
As a Garden Center Merchandiser employed by Neal Mast Greenhouses you will be helping connect plants with people!
The Garden Center Merchandiser is a part of the TAP program. A partnership between Neal Mast Greenhouses and Walmart stores. The TAP associate will be responsible for effectively merchandising and maintaining live goods presentation in Walmart Garden Centers. This position requires an individual that is service focused, can communicate corporate garden center direction and work with Walmart associates on best Garden Center practices. Effective merchandising has a positive effect on retail sales.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Setting Garden Center displays by unloading product and effectively merchandising.
- Build and replenish impact displays.
- Water plants when needed.
- Report store opportunities to their Neal Mast Territory Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license, insured/reliable vehicle, smart phone, and computer access.
- Previous customer service or retail experience (preferred).
- Must be available to work weekends when needed.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organization skills, time management and able to multi-task. Able to work well with a team and be self-motivated when working unsupervised.
