General Manager

The General Manager oversees and is accountable for the operation of the location ensuring maximum sales and profitability through careful tracking of merchandise, inventory, expense control, staff management, and expenses.

• Provide leadership to Teammates through coaching, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Manage the financial health of the store through sales, inventory/cash controls, store-level marketing, customer satisfaction and retention, budget maintenance, and full Profit & Loss responsibility.
• Build and develop a winning team through the use of recruiting tools, sound interview techniques, and retention strategies.
• Create Teammate work schedules, ensuring proper coverage and needs are met.
• Set the example for exceptional customer service, to include appropriate resolution of customer complaints
• Monitor environment and actions to ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
• Create a positive store culture by treating teammates fairly and with respect
• Ensure the building, equipment and grounds are well maintained.

Skills Requirement

• Extensive knowledge of auto repair and maintenance procedures and trends.
• Successful management experience including but not limited to: leadership and motivational ability, time management and organizational skills, training, coaching and counseling.
• Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to budget, forecast and evaluate location performance.
• Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse customer base.
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
• Proven successful management of auto repair services.
• High level of professional integrity and customer service
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Lifting and/or moving tires weighing between 10 - 50 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance
• Environment is very hot during summer months and cold during winter months.
• Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.

Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Valid Driver's license with clean driving record
