This position will work collaboratively with the entire Emergency Services leadership team, reporting to the System's Director of Advanced Practice Nursing.

Emergency CNS Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Clinical Practice Expert in the delivery of evidence-based nursing
- Translates theory and evidence to advance the health and knowledge of the patient/family, nurses/practice and the organization/system.
- Provides leadership and clinical expertise in the management of complex patient issues
- Partners with leadership to develop and evaluate the delivery of nursing practice
- Provides leadership and expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative individual and/or population-based programs of care to achieve desired quality outcomes.
- Establishes and monitors care standards and facilitates change(s) in areas of clinical practice based on data analyses

Emergency CNS Clinical Nurse Specialist Requirements:
- Masters in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
- National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS-BC, ACCNS-BC, etc)
- Ability to obtain an RN License in the State
- Ability to obtain a CNS license in the State
- Two (2) years of Clinical Nurse Specialist experience preferred, but new grad CNS' will be considered
- Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required, preferably in a major trauma center setting as an ED RN.
