- Hospital: Leapfrog A Rated, non profit 300 bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital that has served its community for over a century
- Primary Stroke Center designated
- Position will manage a 42 bed ED that sees over 50k annual patient visits
- Well supported by a team of 150 FTE's
- Reports directly to a dynamic and transformational Chief Nursing Officer
Primary responsibilities will include providing the strategic direction of the department, ensuring effective staffing strategies, improving and maintaining key performance indicators, serving as a mentor to the nursing team, and building positive physician relationships. We are seeking a collaborative and dynamic leader who will be able to ensure the best patient care is provided to our community.
Qualifications & Requirements for the Director, Emergency Department (RN):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required / Master's preferred
- Active RN License State of North Carolina
- Minimum five (5) years of ER leadership experience
- Minimum seven (7) years clinical ED nursing experience
- Must have a demonstrated track record of success in leading teams, and improving patient outcomes
- Should possess excellent communication skills across all levels
- Collaborative, team building personality style
