Pay Rate: Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Summary: Neaman Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant with at least 2 years of experience for our growing, cosmetic surgery practice. We are pursuing applicants that practice professionalism, exceptional communication, and, who make patient care and safety a priority. Candidates must be highly accountable, driven, and comfortable working in a high-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Description of what must be accomplished, not how it must be done):
- Referals
- Take patient histories, perform vital signs, and record information in the EMR system
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Maintain appropriate lab logs
- Operate and maintain autoclave for instrument care on a regular schedule
- Clean and maintain examination and treatment rooms daily
- Manage equipment and supply inventory
- Serve as a liaison between physicians and other individuals such as patients
- Copy and mail requests for medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Function as a team member, including being flexible, able to work additional hours when needed, and providing backup
- Complete prior authorizations and referrals for imaging and prescriptions
- Coordinate care for patients with outside offices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- All other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience:
EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Wound Care: 1 year (preferred)

Qualifications (To do this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required):
- Education: High school or equivalent. College coursework preferred.
Physical Demands: General office environment. Work under stress and use of telephone required. Type/input to the computer and other office equipment as outlined below.
Equipment Used: Personal computer, telephone, photocopier, facsimile, calculator and other office equipment.
Work Environment: Climate-controlled office environment.
