Your Role

Take on a vital role as a problem-solver and revenue champion! As a Medical Billing Denial Specialist at Near North Health, you’ll tackle claim denials head-on, ensuring our team is reimbursed accurately and efficiently. Your analytical skills and determination will keep our financial systems running smoothly, supporting our ability to provide life-changing care to our community.

Qualifications 

• Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree (Business Admin) preferred.
• Required Licensure and/or Certification:
  • CBCS (Certified Billing and Coding Specialist)
  • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or equivalent
  • CCA (Certified Coding Associate) or equivalent
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
  • CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice)
• Years of Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in medical billing and coding, specifically in denial management and appeals, preferably within a nonprofit medical setting or a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Compensation 

Compensation is determined based on each candidate’s experience, skills, and education, within the established range for the role. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements will typically start at the entry level of the range, with additional qualifications reflected in the final compensation package.
