Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing software components to meet business, quality, and operational requirements.
- Write high-quality code through unit testing and test-driven development practices.
- Lead and participate in code and document reviews, providing mentorship to the team on best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including peer organizations and DevOps, to resolve technical issues and offer guidance.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, providing accurate estimates.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure optimal software quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot code-level issues efficiently and effectively with the team.
- Use deep technical expertise to resolve complex programming and design challenges.
- Focus on ensuring the scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes.
- Contribute to software design and architecture to ensure security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Participate in the development of the technical roadmap, addressing technical debt while balancing time, resources, and quality constraints to meet business and strategic goals.
Required Skills:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of development experience.
- Strong object-oriented design and implementation skills.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive experience in Java and Node.js programming languages.
- Expertise in Microservices, API development, and RESTful services.
- Proficient in writing unit and integration tests to ensure quality deliverables.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with AWS technologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
