Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Performance Marketing Strategy – Lead and refine full-funnel advertising strategies across Amazon Ads (PPC, DSP), Google, paid social, and emerging ad platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and revenue targets.
- Optimize Campaign Performance – Continuously analyze ad spend, ROAS, CPA, and conversion rates, leveraging A/B testing, bid automation, keyword optimization, and audience segmentation to maximize efficiency and scale high-performing campaigns.
- Build Systems that Scale – Develop new systems for all platforms, along with processes, SOPs and training.
- Lead & Grow High-Performing Team – Build, mentor, and develop an elite team of advertising specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation, and innovation to drive measurable improvements in campaign performance.
- Leverage Data & Predictive Analytics – Utilize first-party data, audience insights, and predictive modeling to refine targeting, remarketing, and bidding strategies, ensuring efficient ad spend allocation and revenue growth.
- Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with brand management, marketplace operations, SEO, and creative teams to align advertising strategies with broader go-to-market initiatives, product launches, and brand growth objectives.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a trusted strategic advisor, providing data-backed performance insights, budget recommendations, and advertising roadmaps to both internal leadership and external brand partners.
- Innovate & Stay Ahead of Industry Trends – Identify new opportunities in retail media, automation tools, and programmatic advertising, continuously refining ad strategies to drive competitive advantage and revenue growth.
- 7 years of experience in performance marketing, Amazon advertising, digital media buying, or PPC strategy.
- Proven track record of scaling multi-million-dollar advertising budgets while maintaining profitability.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Ads (PPC, DSP, Video), Google Ads, and paid social.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, Looker, Google Analytics, Helium 10, Pacvue, or similar).
- Experience leading a high-performing marketing team focusing on data-driven decision-making and automation.
- Exceptional client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a test-and-learn approach to performance marketing.
A high-performing Director of Performance Marketing & Advertising will:
- Consistently exceed ROAS and profitability targets across all advertising campaigns.
- Proactively test new advertising strategies, optimizing CPC, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Drive efficiency, reducing cost per acquisition (CPA) while scaling ad budgets strategically.
- Enhance cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between advertising, creative, and marketplace teams.
- Foster a data-driven team culture, continuously iterating and improving ad targeting and spend allocation.
- Revenue Growth from Paid Advertising – Drive a YoY increase in total revenue generated from paid advertising by scaling high-performing campaigns, expanding audience reach, and optimizing ad placements across Amazon, Google, and other digital platforms.
- Advertising Profitability & Efficiency – Reduce wasted ad spend, ensuring budgets are optimized for maximum profitability, balancing ad spend scaling with revenue growth while maintaining target TACoS (Total Advertising Cost of Sales).
- Market Share & Visibility Expansion – Improve brand visibility by increasing share of voice (SOV) and ranking top 10 high-intent keywords across key categories, ensuring competitive advantage on Amazon and other platforms.
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) Optimization – Lower Cost-Per-Acquisition (CPA) through advanced audience targeting, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and strategic remarketing efforts.
- Team & Process Efficiency Scaling – Improve operational efficiency by automating campaign processes, reducing manual optimizations, and increasing team bandwidth for strategic initiatives and innovation.
