Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optical professional to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and expert guidance in optical products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, with an understanding of optical practices and standards, ensuring that customers receive the best possible care and products for their vision needs. Our current work week is Monday - Thursday! We have a three day weekend, every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting eyewear, including frames and lenses, based on their individual needs and preferences.
• Provide information on various optical products, including prescription glasses, contact lenses, and lens options.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information and records.
• Conduct basic vision tests and measure vital signs as necessary to support customer needs.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring all products are well-displayed.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is required; experience in the optical field is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of retail management practices will be beneficial for those looking to advance within the company.
• Understanding of anatomy related to vision care is preferred for effective customer consultations.
• Proficiency in using software for patient management can enhance efficiency in daily operations.
• A background in senior care may be beneficial when assisting older customers with their optical needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.5 per week
