The Digital Marketing Specialist will work closely with Nebraska Community Foundation’s (NCF’s) marketing team to strategize, create, and distribute a variety of dynamic digital marketing content that furthers NCF’s mission to unleash abundant local assets, inspire charitable giving, and connect ambitious people to build stronger communities and a Greater Nebraska.
Examples of Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans for NCF’s social media and digital marketing efforts
- Conceptualize and create engaging and relevant content tailored to existing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo) and audiences
- Teach and train volunteers about digital marketing and social media best practices and help them create content and strategies for effective distribution
- Utilize digital analytics tools to track campaign performance, interpret data, and make informed marketing decisions
- Research and remain on the cutting edge of digital marketing/advertising and social media trends
- Explore and pursue digital marketing and advertising opportunities that further NCF’s mission
- Collaborate on video content strategy and support NCF’s videographer in producer role
- Produce e-newsletters and implement new email marketing campaigns
- Maintain/update NCF email lists
- Work with team members to develop Annual Celebration content, themes, and event promotion
- Assist with website content creation and maintenance/updates including improvements to search engine optimization
- Adhere to brand guidelines and organizational tone across all platforms
- Pursue experimentation that drives NCF marketing objectives forward
Education, Skills and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum two years’ experience in marketing/communications work
- Passion for building an optimistic, confident brand for Greater Nebraska
- Demonstrates curiosity and desire to evolve, learn, and grow
- Interest in rural community development and asset-based community development
- Exceptional communications skills
- Skilled active listener
- Desire to support volunteers and maximize the potential in others
- Commitment to innovation and experimentation
- Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on goals and tasks
- Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint – please highlight any relevant experience with specific communications/marketing applications, tools, and/or software
- Exhibits good judgment and discretion
- Strong preference for candidates with additional communications/marketing photography, videography, podcasting, etc.
- Graphic design experience a plus, especially work with the Adobe Suite
