What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Teacher position at Nebraska Department of Education?
Tekamah-Herman Schools is accepting applications for an elementary teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid teaching certificate or permit. Experience preferred, but not required. Tekamah-Herman Community Schools is a progressive Class C-2 school district with a total K-12 enrollment of 494 students. Within the past few years, Tekamah-Herman has completed several remodel and addition projects. Recent additions to Tekamah-Herman's campus include new administrative offices, a fitness and weight room, a second gym, a wrestling room, two locker rooms, a training room, three science classrooms, and a commons area. The Tekamah area also offers a nice selection of local eating establishments, a new community swimming pool, recreational areas like Summit Lake and Northridge Country Club, and numerous other updated businesses on main street. In addition, Tekamah-Herman is conveniently located 45 minutes north of the Omaha metro area and 60 minutes south of Sioux City. Head Boys Wrestling, Head Softball, and other extracurricular assignments are available, but not required.
