Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.
Essential Functions
- Performs desk reviews of sub-recipient reimbursement claims and financial reports to ensure compliance with approved grant budgets, required deadlines, and program and federal regulations.
- Provides financial assistance related to state and federal grants, ensuring compliance with federal guidance and regulations (e.g., Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)).
- Receives, reviews, and makes adjustments related to grant payment requests. Approves and prepares disbursements of funds and maintains payment records and documentation.
- Consults with and provides technical assistance to program staff, schools, educational service units and other sub-recipients on aid program’s fiscal requirements.
- Calculates grant allocations to grantees based on federal program guidance.
- Gathers, analyzes, and interprets financial data to generate forecasting reports to assist with budget development.
- Assists with development and maintenance of grants management systems, process controls, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and\or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Public Administration, or related fields, and prior experience in state or federal grant review and compliance.
Pay Grade 7, Step 7: $30.219/hour ($30.597/hour after pay structure increases on June 30, 2025) This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.
