Nebraska DHHS is seeking an Administrator for Medicaid Technology Initiatives to drive major, business-driven tech projects that are critical to Medicaid operations. In this essential role, you’ll guide teams, oversee system funding and certification efforts, and ensure stakeholder perspectives shape each initiative.

Examples of Work
As the Administrator of Medicaid Technology Initiatives, job duties include:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, social work, human development, public health, behavioral science, law, finance, human resources or other program related field AND four years of experience in a field related to the assigned program area including supervisory experience; OR a Master’s degree in any of the above mentioned fields and two years commensurate experience. Equivalent experience or coursework/training may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of Project Management Experience; Master Degree preferred; Experience implementing complex/large scale projects or processes; experience with business process reengineering, experience with change management; Experience in healthcare administration or technology within healthcare systems and or insurance industries; experience in federal/state government, or acting as a contractor or consultant on behalf of such; Three years of experience leading teams; Three years of experience managing outcomes/SLAs/deliverables for contracts or systems.
Other: Position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln. No other office locations available for this role.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent Communication Skills, Excellent Customer Service Skills, proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, excellent problem solving skills; Excellent collaboration skills; Experience leading teams/projects and directing contractors in a virtual work environment.

As the Administrator of Medicaid Technology Initiatives, job duties include:
- Lead the business adoption, implementation efforts, and oversight of several large business driven technology related projects critical to the Medicaid operation.
- Have direct oversight of staff and contractors responsible for activities leading to successful implementation of projects and business and informatics strategy for the Medicaid Division.
- Oversee CMS information system funding requests and system certification activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure employee, client, and partner perspectives included in the strategic development and deployment of the initiatives.
