We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated and experienced in driving a lowboy. The driver would safely and efficiently operate a lowboy truck and trailer while moving heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean record
- Heavy equipment hauling experience is required
- 2 years’ experience
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT/FMCSA requirements in regard to pre and post-employment drug screens and DOT physicals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Communicate with foreman, mechanics and customers to coordinate heavy equipment pick-up and drop-offs.
- Properly and safely load, secure and unload heavy equipment to avoid damage to the equipment, truck and trailer. Must be able to tarp, chain and/or strap loads using appropriate securement and binding for the haul.
- Plan the best driving route, taking into consideration height, weight, width and traffic restrictions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck, trailer and equipment.
- Complete the necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, gas, oil, water, and other controls for safe operation. May perform roadside basic roadside repairs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned (ex. dump truck).
Physical Demands:
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands.
- Talk and hear.
- Climb, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell.
- Able to move up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distant, color and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type, Hours and Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 40 – 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (some Saturdays depending on weather)
