Position Summary:
The Leadership and Field Services Coordinator provides administrative and event planning support to the Senior Director of Leadership and Field Services and assists the Leadership and Field Services Team in executing programs and initiatives that support Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation (NEFB) members and affiliates. This position requires occasional overnight travel within Nebraska (less than 5%).

The location for this position is onsite at the Nebraska Farm Bureau State Office Building in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Manage schedules, appointments, and staff expenses for the Senior Director and team.
- Coordinate travel, prepare correspondence, and organize meeting logistics.
- Maintain and order team supplies.
- Handle phone and email communications promptly and professionally.
- Oversee promotional item inventory, orders, invoicing, and distribution.
Leadership Development
- Assist in planning and executing the Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Conference, meetings, events, and award programs.
- Support the Leadership Academy coordinators and communicate with county Farm Bureaus regarding member participation.
Event Planning
- Assist in organizing NEFB-hosted events and maintain event records.
- Ensure accurate expense tracking and budget allocation.
Fleet Vehicle Management
- Oversee vehicle purchases, maintenance, and major repairs.
- Train employees on fleet policies and serve as the primary contact for fleet-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Administrative & Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including mail merge and reporting functions.
- Event & Program Coordination: Experience in event planning, logistics, and budget management is a plus.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, members, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying solutions.
- Member-Focused Approach: Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to Nebraska Farm Bureau members and affiliates.
- Dependability & Professionalism: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel: Ability to travel occasionally for overnight events within Nebraska (less than 5%).
- Driver’s License. Hold a valid driver’s license for the State of Nebraska.
