NMC Cat is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Sales to lead and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the CAT Machine Group sales team. This pivotal role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including the optimization and management of key performance indicators (KPIs), meticulous planning and insightful reporting, strategic quota setting and management, and the continuous optimization of sales processes. The Director of Sales will work in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the sales organization not only meets but exceeds its objectives and priorities, driving sustained success and growth.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
- Create and communicate sales goals and ensure Senior Leadership is informed on the progress of those goals.
- With the VP, manage OEM relationship and communication for sales.
- Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. .
- Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels, resources and KPI's
- Responsible for the successful implementation of the NMC Sales Process throughout the CAT Machine Group
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process and methodology improvement. Works closely with sales team to inspect sales process and methodology quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement..
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
- Builds and manages a competent team within each division by effectively hiring, training and developing employees, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, coaching and counseling, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Responsible for driving accountability throughout the organization to ensure performance metrics are being achieved.
