Job Details
Pediatric ICU RN 3x12s OR 4x12s
Call Requirements : May be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts
Weekend / Holiday Requirements : 3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule period; if contract is over the summer holidays, must work one holiday.
Float Requirements : May be required to float to adult care areas, but only to perform tasks and Rover duties. A task nurse performs to the degree they are comfortable, but at minimum, would be expected to do simple tasks like bathing, assisting with turns, assisting with vital signs, etc. RN would NOT take an assignment on an adult unit.
This is a mixed-acuity unit - Ratios are 1 : 2 for PICU, 1 : 3 for PCU, 1 : 4 Acute - PICU RNs are expected to work across acuity spectrum
24 bed unit
Job Requirements
2 years of experience required (must have 2 years of PICU experience at a Level l Trauma Center)
Epic charting experience required
First time travelers NOT accepted (unless they have 3 years of experience at a Level l Trauma Center - PICU)
Pending license accepted : Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
RTO restrictions : Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.

Scrubs : MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
Parking : Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55 / month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).
